TOPIC: SHUN EXAM MALPRACTICE
TEXT: “Abstain from all appearance of evil” (1 Thessalonians 5:22).
Educationists describe ‘examination malpractice’ as a breach of official examination rules to place a candidate at an unfair advantage above others. It has become widespread in many parts of the world. Studies have shown that many stakeholders: students, teachers, school administrators, officials of examination bodies, and even parents are involved in this menace. Examination malpractice is caused mainly by inadequate preparation, lack of confidence and the propensity to cheat.
Christian students must always be above board and must not be involved in this unwholesome practice. It is a sin. Say “No” to examination malpractice, no matter who is tempting you to compromise. There are reports that some owners of schools even instruct their students to contribute money with which to bribe examiners. Don’t be party to this. Always remember, “My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not” (Proverbs 1:10). If you have challenges with your studies consult your teachers to help as you are preparing for an examination. Remember to pray and God will see you through to a resounding success in Jesus’ name.
CHALLENGE: Say “No” to examination malpractice.
QUOTE: “My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not”.
