World Universities Debate Championship|| UG wins 2020 edition. #mentiasie

The largest debating and public speaking in the world, World Universities Debating Championship (WUDC) just ended. Apreku Agyepong won; which makes him the second Ghanaian to win in this category of the championship since it was started in 1981 after Jeremiah Sekyi, a level 400 pharmacy student all of the University of Ghana.

Maureen Kyere, level 300 law student placed 3rd in the same competition. 

Apreku Agyepong, a level 300 law student of the University of Ghana, was crowned the champion of public speaking at the just ended 40th Edition of the World Universities Debate Championship (WUDC) which was held in the Assumption University, Thailand.

The championship started from December 26, 2019, to January 4, 2020.

The maiden edition of the WUDC was held in Glasgow in 1981, and has over the years increased in participants. As we speak, the competition includes over 400 universities representing over 90 countries.

The Next World Universities Debate Championship is said to be held in South Korea from December to January 2021.
