WAIT ON GOD

WAIT ON GOD

DEVOTION 4/3/2021

Therefore, I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. Micah 7:7 KJV

We must not only “look unto the Lord,” but also “wait for Him.” Having no hope from man – Micah 7:5, 6. Micah speaks in the name of Israel, who herein, taught by chastisement – Micah 7:4 to feel her sin, casts herself on the Lord as her only hope,” in patient waiting. She did so under the Babylonian captivity; she shall do so again hereafter when the spirit of grace shall be poured on her – Zechariah 12:10-13. Another Hebrew word for “Wait” is Yachal    meaning to be expectant. To be expectant means to be having or showing an excited feeling that something is about to happen, especially something good.

Remember, the earnest expectation of the righteous shall never be cut off – Proverbs 23:18. The back bone of faith is expectation. Therefore, continue to wait upon God without wavering. Let’s take a pregnant woman into perspective. From the time of conception to the time of delivery, she is always in that state of expectation that her time will be due for her to deliver her child. Though she will go through the disturbed sleep patterns, increased trips to the bathroom, nausea, sore boobies, headaches, heart burn, leg cramps, inability to “settle in”, vivid dreams, back pain, snoring and disordered breathing, restless leg syndrome, and anxiety, she is still in expectation that her time will be due to have that child and as the fullness of time comes, she delivers.

Beloved, may God give you grace to wait upon Him and the strength to birth your expectations in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen

Prayer

Lord I look to you, you are were my strength comes from. Shine your face on me and be gracious to me. As I wait upon you Lord, remember me and answer my prayers. Amen
