The Ghanaian professional footballer Manuel “Junior” Agogo who played as a striker in the Ghana black stars’ team met his untimely death this year. He was born on the 1st August 1972. He was a player who made Ghanaians proud and happy each time he was on national assignment because of how efficient he was on the field of play.
On 29 January 2015, Agogo suffered a stroke and was hospitalized. The stroke affected his Language and speech. On 22nd August, 2019 Agogo died in London, aged 40.
Today 20th September, 2019; Agogo’s mortal remains will be cremated in London.
The government of Ghana will be represented by a 3-member delegation lead by the Deputy minister for youth and sports Hon. Curtis Perry Kwabla Okudzeto.
As far as football is concerned, Other stakeholders who will be present at the funeral are Tony Baffoe, CAF Deputy General Secretary as well as representatives from the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana.
