Liman Akwara, a ‘Trotro’ (bus) driver river stopped working, disembarked passengers and gave back their fares just to meet his idol Shatta Wale in the studios of Hitz FM.
Liman Akwara was transporting passengers from Accra New Town to Accra central but upon noticing that his idol shatta wale was in the premises of Hitz fm he stopped immediately, disembarked the passengers and made way to the studios of HITZ FM to meet him.
Liman was filled with joy when he met Shatta wale. Upon seeing him, he prostrated immediately and broke in tears.
Mr. Liman also had a tattoo of shatta wale on his back and said with emotions that he has been waiting for this moment for a long time. “I have lost my mum but after seeing you, I am fine”; he added.
In an interview with Andy Dosty, shatta wale expressed how surprised he was at the level his fans loved him.
He said “You know me when I cry my face is not nice. In life, this is why I want to show everybody love because it’s nice to love.
“When I see people like this doing this to me, sometimes I ask myself, who at all is Shatta Wale?”
“I keep asking myself questions. I just want to help and see if he’s okay. You can imagine where people like him are from. Look at the tattoo on his back. That’s why I pray for God to bless us so we also bless some people. Hello I don’t want to cry , don’t clean my make-up,” he said as he shed tears too.
