The late “Sponsor” Hitmaker Ebony Reigns was crowned the “Artist of the Year” as well as sweeping two more awards thus Afropop song of the year(Sponsor) and Album of the Year (Bonyfied) at the 19th edition of the VGMAs last night.
Receiving the awards in absence was her manager and CEO of Ruff town records Ricky Nana Agyemang (Bullet). He stated that, the awards were the results of the hard work the late singer employed into her music and what she offered the music industry within a year since her breakthrough onto the big stage.
He further stated that, her critics should be grateful enough for what the late songstress had given the music industry in just a year which is unprecedented and hence the awards won were well deserved and not sympathy awards as some people had claimed.
He also urged Ghanaians to watch out for his new artist on the rise name, “Wendy Shay”. Who he believes would take the music industry by storm just like the late dancehall songstress.
In our opinion, all the nominees deserved to win.
