ROSE IN BLOOM by Dr.Deborah Nwaeke

“After women, flowers are the loveliest thing God has given the world”

A rose is a flowering plant greatly admired. It comes in different colours, different sizes and shapes. A rose isn’t just beautiful, but also useful as food for animals, for commercial perfumery, etc. Some species are also highly rich in vitamin C.

Roses are one of the most appreciated flowers. It is even referred to as “the Queen of the Garden”! Though tender in structure, they command respect because of their significance.

Thorns! Yes, a rose has thorns to protect it from predators.

A woman can be likened to a rose; different colours, different sizes and shapes. She is beautiful. She is useful, not as a commodity but as an asset.
A woman, though tender, has a tenacity of purpose that is indomitable. Her significance and power is as old as history. It is evident in both ancient history and contemporary times.

Unfortunately, she has been abused. Her strength misused and her weakness exploited. She has been brainwashed to live as a commodity used for profit, instead of an indispensable asset.

Hey girl! Like a rose is most beautiful in bloom, BLOOM, and STAY BLOOMING. Let the tenacity of purpose you possess remain alive and active.

If you’ve been crushed you can bloom again.

Don’t allow the society confine you, rather allow the Maker refine you and magnify His work of art in you.
