Former Secretary- general of the United Nations Kofi Annan is dead.He died in Switzerland on Saturday 18th of August after a brief illness at the age of 80 .
KOFI ATTAH ANNAN was born in Kumasi,Ghana.
Kofi Annan was appointed Secretary General for the UN general assembly in 1996 and has spent most of his years here.
Kofi was also the first black African to take up the role of the world’s top diplomat,serving two terms from 1996 to 2006.

Amongst all his many accolades,he also won himself a Nobel Peace Prize for humanitarian work.
Kofi was known to have always been selfless and wherever there was need he always did reach out.
And all of this he did in warmth.
He would greatly be missed and we pray his soul Rest In Perfect Peace.
