Former president of Ghana Flight Lieutenant Jerry John Rawlings is reported dead. His demise occurred in the early hours of Thursday (November 12, 2020) at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH). 

For a week now, Mr Rawlings had been on admission at the Cardio-thoracic Centre(KBTH) for an unknown ailment. His condition worsened hence was admitted at the ICU department in the same hospital. He was later reported dead in the early hours of 12/11/20 at age 73. 

Mr Rawlings was born on June 22, 1947 and was the 1st President of the 4th Republic).
