The late Dancehall songstress Ebony reigns supremed last night’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards at the Accra International Conference Centre by been crowned the “Artist of the Year “ posthumously.
The “Maame Hw3” hitmaker met her untimely death through a fatal automobile accident earlier this year but even death could not stopped her from conquering the VGMAs. The Late Ebony was tipped by many pundits and fans across Ghana to win this year’s 19th Edition of the VGMAs prior to her untimely demise.
So, winning the award was more of a reminder of what she had offered the music industry in the past year. Her album dubbed “Bonyfied” was also crowned the Album of the Year as well as her song “ Sponsor” also taking the Afropop song of the year. Receiving the awards on her behalf were her manager CEO of Ruff town entertainment, her Parents and her Team.
The “Sponsor “ hitmaker beats competition with Sarkodie, Joe Mettle, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.
