“Two are better than one…”
Life is a race not to be run alone. It isn’t a race concerned with who arrives first; rather it’s concerned with who arrives at the finish line at all.
It’s a road meant to be walked with support, caution and purpose.
Life is a mix of different tastes: sweet, bitter, sour, salty, and maybe umami. The tastes represent the different events that occur in one’s lifetime: good, bad, sour, and so on. They all work to make life whole, if you allow it.
Just like the first and second alpinist remained together and survived, we all need support to survive, and God to thrive.
You need someone to pick you up when you fall; someone to hold you up when you’re weak, like Aaron held up Moses’ hand for victory during a battle (Exodus 17:12).
You need someone who will point out your mistakes (we all make them) and help you become a better version of yourself.
As you receive these from a friend, give them also.
Find you a friend to travel with; you were not made to be alone!
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labour: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
